The BE2ST-in-Highways is an Excel-based rating system which is interlinked with several other publicly available open sources for assessing the environmental impacts associated with highway construction projects (i.e., M-EPDG, PaLATE, RealCost, and TNM-LookUp). It is primarily intended to provide a quantitative methodology for rating the benefits of sustainable highway construction.

How It Works

This system employs life-cycle analysis techniques to provide an overall assessment of the environmental and economic impacts associated with a highway construction projects.
