Greenroads Rating System
Greenroads is a rating system, developed to measure and manage sustainability on transportation projects. It is intended to be a tool used by decision-makers, agencies, consultants, and contractors to enable informed design and construction decisions regarding sustainability.
How It Works
The system is divided into seven categories, the first one is formed by 11 Project Requirements, which must be met and completed in order to be considered for certification, and the other ones are Environment and Water, Access and Equity, Construction Activities, Materials and Resources, Pavement Technologies, and Custom Credit. The minimum level of Certified means that all 11 Project Requirements have been completed and that a minimum of 32 points have been earned by completing a variety of Voluntary Credits (VC).
